First, the buggy was sold, and now the Ram is sold. Looks like the replacement will have this, which means the FiST will no longer hold the torque crown:

Slight problem, we found a Suburban for the exact price Dad sold his Ram for. That means leftover money to buy another buggy.

Well you can turn a Suburban into an Avalanche...

Nearly 450 isn’t anything to scoff at, and more than enough for camper duty. For it’s purpose, we have absolutely no need for the added expense up front and down the road, along with the added maintenance. Also, please find me a suitable 4x4 diesel, crew cab, not ragged out, and has more power/torque for $5k.

for that price not much. but better fuel economy when towing and the fact if you change the oil in a 7.3 5.9 or whatever diesel motor chevy used in early 2000's they will last is worth the extra money.

Eh, the 8.1 is stout, and cheap. Again, not worth the premium. Especially when it in all likelihood will rarely get used.
